I would like to remove sendmail from my ubuntu completely
1. Stop the sandmail service
sudo /etc/init.d/sendmail stop2. Uninstall sendmail and sendmail-bin
sudo apt-get remove sendmail sendmail-bin3. After all, we have to perform a purge to remove files on our server we didn’t want.
sudo apt-get purge sendmail sendmail-bin4. Finally, reboot.
sudo reboot
